Linus is a case worker who spends his whole life going to orphanages for magical being and making sure they are cared for properly, closing down the one who aren't doing what they're supposed to do. His whole life is working for an organization who is charged with keeping track of magical beings. He sees colors unimaginable to humans, favors what we would consider extremely bitter or sour flavors, and pleasant smells often overwhelm him. His sense of taste, smell and sight are very skewed and different from humans no matter how hard he tries he can not rewire that.
